RICHARD FISH is an actor, writer, and musician who has worked in audio theatre since 1970, becoming a producer, director, teacher, engineer, Foley artist, journalist, and publisher along the way. Richard has worked with the leading figures in audio theatre from coast to coast, including the legendary American grand master of the art, Norman Corwin. A founder of the National Audio Theatre Festivals organization, and WFHB Community Radio in his hometown of Bloomington, Indiana, Richard has won awards for radio advertising, broadcast journalism, and acting, including a Mark Time Award for “carrying on the traditions of The Firesign Theatre.” He is heard weekly over WFHB as host of “The Firehouse Theatre,” presenting old and new audio theatre; as writer and presenter of “Better Beware,” a weekly news feature on scams and swindles; and in “The Firehouse Follies,” a live variety show offered four times a year. STEVE HENN Steve Henn wrote Indiana Noble Sad Man of the Year (Wolfson, 2017), And God Said: let there be Evolution ! (NYQ Books 2012), and Unacknowledged Legislations (NYQ Books 2010). His poem “Soccer Dad” was a finalist for the 2018 Rattle Poetry Prize and he’s read at bars, colleges, coffeehouses, and poetry festivals, including Divedapper Festival 2018.
MIKE GLAB has been an independent writer since 1983 when he wrote his first article for the Chicago Reader about professional wrestlers. His in-depth personality profiles became a staple in the Reader over the next two decades. Today, he hosts a WFHB radio interview feature called “Big Talk” and is the brain behind the blog, The Electron Pencil. WFIU’s David Brent Johnson has described Big Mike as “a hip town crier” who writes “in a colorful, intelligent working class vernacular.”
SHAKESPEARE’S MONKEY was formed in 1999 by William Sovern and Jean Kizer. Hailing from Evansville IN, the Monkeys are a performance group that fuses poetry & music, transforming personal experience into metaphor. They have performed in NYC poetry venues such as Dixon Place, CBGB’s, The Poetry Project at St. Marks, The Nuyorican, and Gathering of the Tribes, as well as GonzoFest Louisville 2018 and Insomniacathon Online Poetry Festival.
