2023 POETRY ISSUE
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
The Ryder Magazine and Film Series is once again partnering with the Writers Guild at Bloomington for a special poetry issue of the magazine.
The street date of the print issue will be April 2023 – National Poetry Month – and the poems will be available in the online edition as well.
Poems will be selected by Tony Brewer.
GUIDELINES
* Submit up to 3 poems per poet, up to 30 lines per poem.
* Previously published poems are acceptable with publisher acknowledgment.
* All poems should be submitted in ONE Word or PDF file.
* Include a short bio in your submission file – under 40 words please. It may be edited for clarity or space.
* Submissions will be accepted by email only.
* Include your name and email address in the submission.
* No specific theme – but if you like guidance, Ryder specializes in film, music, media, and Bloomington arts.
* Submissions will not be read blind and submissions that do not follow instructions will not be considered.
* Submissions are welcome from anyone who sees the call.
* RIGHTS: The use of the Work by the Publisher entails the assignment of First North American Serial Rights, for publication in the English language anywhere in North America.
It is understood and agreed that the Publisher may use this Work only in the above-mentioned magazine.
Publisher may also reprint the Work one additional time as part of a collection or anthology.
* AUTHOR WARRANTIES: The author warrants that they are the sole author of the work, that the work is original and unpublished (unless acknowledged),
no one has reserved the rights granted in this agreement, and the work does not contain any libelous material.
DEADLINE for submissions: January 31, 2023.
NOTIFICATIONS will go out by the end of February 2023.
