Gladys DeVane—Professor Emerita, Indiana University—is a storyteller, actor, and writer. She has written four original plays, numerous one-person shows, and a book—Come Sit with Me: Life in Poetry, Prose, and Plays. Gladys is co-founder of Resilience Productions INC, a theatrical company that researches, writes, and produces plays—inspired by actual events—that tell the African American story.
Gladys DeVane’s book, Come Sit with Me: Life in Poetry, Prose, and Plays, will be available for sale. Cash and checks accepted.
Beau Vallance is retired from art-museum work and IU teacher education. Her writing lately has been for a summer newspaper in Michigan, the IU Emeriti House life-writing workshop, a year-long StoryWorth project, two pieces in The Ryder, very long emails to friends, and a draft of her own obituary. Her writing has gotten quite free-wheeling since she’s no longer writing for professional journals, but she had a huge resume of articles on such exciting topics as the hidden curriculum, curriculum theory, and museum education. It’s more fun now.
