Generations in Motion: African American Portraits
With John McCluskey
Explore the theme of transition in African American writing with an emphasis on physical migration as well as
accounts of growth and development into adulthood.
John McClusky is Emeriti Faculty, Indiana University, African American and African Diaspora Studies.
The class concludes with the Power of Words at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater on Saturday, February 5th at 7 pm.
The course fee is $75 and class attendees will enjoy:
a class session with John McClusky on Jan 27,
and a class session with Audrey McClusky on Feb 3
preferred seating for the Power of Words event with Jacqueline Woodson,
a ticket to the book signing at the Library following the event,
and the Gala opening reception for the Marian Armstrong exhibit, Our Voice: Celebrating the Coretta Scott King Illustrator Award Winners.
