Trigger Warnings, edited by Joan Hawkins and Kalynn Brower– is an anthology of writings about survival and escape from sexual assault– written by members of The Writers Guild at Bloomington, is out.

The Book Launch will be held Thursday Jan 18 at BackSpace  (in Bonne Fête, 112 W 6th St) at 6 p.m. Dr. Maria Hamilton Abegunde, Tom Bitters, Kalynn Brower, Joan Hawkins, Tonia Matthew, and Hiromi Yoshida will be the featured readers. (Kalynn is coming back to Bloomington for the event).  Music by Ortet. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

On Friday January 19th from 4:30-6 PM there will be a reading at the auditorium at the Monroe County Public Library.

There will also be a one-on-one event and book signing at Morgenstern Books on Sat Jan 20 from 12-2 PM.

Joan Hawkins is going to try to organize another reading on campus at the College Arts and Humanities Institute, so that other authors in the anthology will have a chance to read their work. Please check the newsletter and the website later for further information on this.
