Patsy Rahn’s poetry and prose have been published in various journals and anthologies. Her first book of poetry, The Grainy Wet Soul, was self-published in 2018. Book reviews and further information can be found at her author website: www.patsyrahn.com. The website provides recordings and videos of public readings as well as her sound works. In 2021 Patsy Rahn received the People’s Choice Award from the 5th Open Eurasion Literary Festival of Festivals “LIFT”. She continues to give public readings and has read for festivals, literary events, and with the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra. Patsy is a founding member and chair emeritus of the Writers Guild at Bloomington.
Patsy Rahn is also a Photographer. Her exhibit Multifarious is at the Backspace Gallery in Bloomington for the month of March 2024. The exhibit is accompanied by a Soundscape by Patsy Rahn and Pat Petro.
Allison Joseph is Professor of English at Southern Illinois University, where she teaches and directs the creative writing program. Her books include Confessions of a Barefaced Woman (Red Hen Press), winner of the Feathered Quill Book Award and nominated work for the NAACP Image Award in Poetry, and Lexicon (Red Hen Press), winner of the Poetry by the Sea Best Book Award of 2022. She was chosen Illinois Author of the Year for 2022 by the Illinois Association of Teachers of English. Her poems have appeared in the Best American Poetry Series, the Chicago Tribune, and the New York Times. A graduate of Kenyon College and the MFA Program at Indiana University Bloomington, she is also the widow of the late poet, editor and literary critic Jon Tribble. She lives in Carbondale, Illinois.
Mary Luncsford, performing as Silent Partner, has been creating music since 2017. From garage gigs to bar performances, her eclectic style invites her audiences to join in moments of play and introspection. During the pandemic, she took a break from music but has recently found joy in returning to writing and performing. Sticking to the “three chords and the truth” model of songwriting, she strives to create authentic, unguarded songs that resonate with listeners. With a renewed commitment to her craft, Silent Partner continues to evolve as a vehicle for vulnerability and connection.
