Nancy Chen Long is the author of Wider than the Sky (Diode Editions, 2020), which was selected for the Diode Editions Book Award, and Light into Bodies (University of Tampa Press, 2017), which won the Tampa ReviewPrize for Poetry. Her work has been supported by a National Endowment of the Arts Creative Writing Fellowship in poetry and the Poetry Society of America Robert H. Winner Award. You’ll find her recent work in PloughsharesCopper NickelThe Southern Review, and elsewhere. She is a poetry reader for the literary journal Guesthouse and works at Indiana University in the Research Technologies division. Wider than the Sky is available at:
Jessica Reed grew up across the US, from the Mojave Desert to the Chesapeake Bay, and now lives next door to her parents on a homestead in rural Indiana with her husband, solar panels, worm composting, and chickens. Her chapbooks include Still Recognizable Forms (Laurel Review Greentower Press) and World, Composed (Finishing Line Press, finalist for the Etchings Press Whirling Prize). Her work has appeared in Quarterly WestChicago ReviewConjunctionsCrazyhorseDenver QuarterlyColorado ReviewNorth American ReviewBellingham ReviewNew American WritingScientific AmericanThe Indianapolis ReviewIsotope: A Journal of Literary Nature and Science Writing, and elsewhere. She has a poem on the Lunar Codex time capsule bound for the moon in December of 2022. She has an MFA in poetry and a BS in physics and has taught science poetry in Saudi Arabia and China as well throughout the United States. She currently teaches a seminar at Butler University on physics and the arts.
