BREE JO’ANN FLANNELLY is a multimedia poet pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing from Butler University. She thinks a lot about fashion, the literary space, video games and neurodiversity. Her book Black Glitter was published by Monster House Press in 2018.
Maria Hamilton Abegunde is a memory keeper, ancestral priest, and full spectrum doula. Her writings have been published in Obsidian, Tupelo Quarterly, the Massachusetts Review, Black Joy Unbound, the Kenyon Review, FIRE!!!, Trouble the Waters: Tales of the Deep Blue, ASHE: Ritual Poetics in African Diasporic Expression, and SO WE CAN KNOW: Writers of Color on Pregnancy, Loss, Abortion, and Birth. She is the commissioned poet for the Ancestral Masquerades, Keeper of My Mothers’ Dreams, and Sister Song exhibitions. Dr. Abegunde is a faculty member in African American and African Diaspora Studies at IU. She is a Cave Canem, Sacatar, Ragdale, and Black Earth Institute Fellow.
