HANH TAM BUI was a member of the Bloomington High School South Writing Club, and a contributor to The Optimist, the school’s student news site. One of four National Scholastic Writing Competition participants from Central Indiana to place at the national level, she won a Silver Medal for her senior-year writing portfolio Daydream.
JULIANA CRESPO was awarded an MFA in fiction from Indiana University, Bloomington, and an MA in fiction from University of Nevada, Reno. She released Touch the Universe in 2020 (Platypus Press Shorts #3, Book 2), and her other work has appeared in North American ReviewHobartPANKFlash Fiction MagazineFiction Southeast, and Literary Orphans, among other publications. She teaches English and journalism, and serves as a yearbook advisor at Bloomington High School South.
SHAYNE LAUGHTER is a Bloomington native with an IU degree, who has been trying to leave the Hoosier nest for more than 30 years–yet keeps coming back for just a bit more. She was a freelance and staff writer in print and broadcast media, including for WFHB Community Radio and WFIU Public Radio. Her novel, short stories, and screenplay have been published in literary journals, and have won honors in national competitions.
SARAH CASSIDY is a singer-songwriter who idolizes guitar-wielding women, and personal, poetic, and eccentric storytelling. Inspired by the likes of Joni Mitchell, Alanis Morissette, Dodie Clar, and Jack Johnson, Sarah has been performing her original music throughout Indiana since her freshman year of high school. She currently studies voice at the Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University, Bloomington, with an outside field study in arts management. But if you aked her nicely to put all that on hold to do a big ol’ tour, she would probably say, “Yes.”
